I visited Duncan Lewis earlier this year to handle my divorce. I have two children, both under the age of 10 and I was more worried about how they would feel throughout the process. I visited Duncan Lewis in Hackney and saw Adishetu Momoh Abu. She dealt with all my problems and understood what I am going through. Adishetu took me through all the possible options for our children and we were able to come to an amicable agreement.

I am very thankful for the help and support that Duncan Lewis gave me to push forward and deal with my divorce quickly by keeping me up to date with any updates to my case.

I had been suffering for a long time in silence, from an abusive relationship. I felt trapped and scared to say anything. It wasn’t until my neighbour reported my problem to the police when I realised I could do something to get out of the situation I was in. I then sought legal advice from Duncan Lewis and visited Nadia Shazad at their Hackney Branch. I immediately felt at ease with Nadia and she took me through all the possible options I had. I had lost a lot of confidence and was very vulnerable at this point in time. I am so grateful that my neighbour spoke out for me and I found Duncan Lewis. I would not be here writing on this blog if I hadn’t sought help when I did. Nadia was kind and informative; the way she handled my case made me feel at ease and I knew that I would get the best outcome from Duncan Lewis. Thank you Nadia Shazad and Duncan Lewis! Should I need any more legal advice for family law, or any other issue I will not hesitate to contact Duncan Lewis.

I was so excited when my boyfriend proposed to me. He gave me the perfect ring and I was ready to get plan our wedding. When he mentioned a pre-nuptial agreement I was really upset at first, but then on further thought we realised that it was the sensible thing to do. I called Duncan Lewis and spoke to Amanjit Lalli, who is a partner at Duncan Lewis. Drawing up the prenup was quick and easy. Amanjit was very helpful and was reasonable in price. Duncan Lewis is predominantly a legal aid law firm, but they also do private work as well. My fiancé and I were very happy with the work carried out by Duncan Lewis. We are now looking to buy a house and we have been referred to Rupinder Kang for our conveyancing issues. She seems lovely. If she is as good as Amanjit then we are definitely going to be getting a great service at an affordable price!

I was looking for a legal aid law firm to help me with my divorce. My partner and I could not settle our differences and it simply boiled down to money. We couldn’t even afford a lawyer. I looked into legal aid and found Duncan Lewis – the largest legal aid law firm in the UK. I called up and booked an appointment with Stephen Talbot. Thankfully I qualified for legal aid. Stephen was very thorough in his work and I knew I was being treated well. The first impression of legal aid is that you won’t get a good service. Ironically I think the opposite can be said about Duncan Lewis. I was very happy with the service I received. My divorce was not complicated, but it still required someone to make sure I understood all of the proceedings. Stephen Talbot did this very well. I didn’t realise how many areas of law they practiced. I was also in need of some immigration advice and Stephen passed on my details to Kelly McClarey, who has been very informative and I am awaiting to hear from the Home Office the outcome of my application. I will be recommending Duncan Lewis and its services to all – thank you for helping me get back on track.

Thank you Susan Forgie at Duncan Lewis. I am so grateful for your help. I wanted to have contact with my children when my ex-wife and I were going through our divorce. A lot of people think fathers have no right and they won’t get represented well.

I was fortunate to meet Susan. I visited Duncan Lewis at their Hackney branch and was overwhelmed by the busy reception. At first I thought that it was a bit scary, then I thought that Duncan Lewis must be good if there was that many people queuing to be seen. Susan was understanding and laid out all of the options I had so I could see my children as much as possible. My Ex wife was not keen on me having access to my children, which made it a little harder to work with (another reason as to why she is my EX-wife). Susan represented me well and kept me informed throughout the case. We had a positive outcome and I get to see my children at least 2 days a week. This is the best possible outcome and I am very happy with the service I received.

It is nice to see such a friendly firm doing well. My case was a private case and was reasonably priced, but Duncan Lewis also do legal aid work, in fact they are the largest legal aid supplier in the UK. Keep up the good work!! If you are wondering whether or not to call Duncan Lewis for legal advice-do it! You will definitely get someone who will help you and represent you well without ripping you off.

I wanted a divorce, quick. Things just didn’t work out with my expartner and we were still living together and married as we just couldn’t afford to get divorced. We were not eligible for legal aid as we were earning just over the threshold, so we had to pay for our divorce. Most firms charge a ridiculous amount of money for this, but I enquired at Duncan Lewis and the rates were very reasonable. This made it easier for me to push forward on the divorce. Sima Ganatara from the Harrow office helped me with my divorce. I was well informed throughout and I was informed what was happening throughout. Our divorce was quite straight forward, despite 2 children being involved. They were not my partners, so they were coming to live with me and he had given them a lump sum money which they could use when they went to university as he was a father figure to them.

Duncan Lewis worked quickly and effienciently and our divorce was processed very quickly. There was no resent between my ex and I just that there we had grown apart. Since we have both got other partners, so with Simas help we could process our divirce quickly and effectively and move on with our lives. My children and I are all much happier. Thank you for your help
